18 week sonogram

On 1/5/10 we had our 18 week sonogram! Baby looked great and everything looked healthy :) The tech couldn't see everything, so we have to go back in 4 weeks. The baby was very quiet, must have been naptime! The baby didn't move much at all, but moved hands to face a couple times and moved the head around a bit. Gender was also determined w/out a problem and it is safely sealed in an envelope awaiting a special night for mommy & daddy to find out who is in there! Personally, I can't wait and the anticipation is driving me nuts! The plan right now is to go out for dinner Saturday night :) Gavin said he thinks it's a boy and when asked what he would think if it's a girl, he replies "That would be bogus" lol. Right after the sonogram I told him about it and he immediately wanted to know what kind of baby it was, aka boy or girl ;-) I think he'll be happy either way. Garrett, on the other hand, isn't quite ready to give up being the baby. He likes to look at my belly, smack it and then pull my shirt back down!!! It's too funny! I think he'll come around and be a great big brother :) Baby is measuring right on track and weighs about 9 oz. We're looking forward to finding out the gender, determining a name and seeing the baby again at the next sonogram! We can't wait to meet you little one and welcome you to our family!!!
