Baby Braden

Braden, you will be 2 months old tomorrow! It's crazy how fast time has gone by! You have gotten so much bigger! It's almost time to start wearing 3-6 mos. clothes and you're almost in size 2 diapers! The only thing you haven't quite gotten the hang of is sleeping at night. There were a couple days that you slept from 9 pm to 3 am, but you've never slept longer than 6 hours at a time. Sometimes you'll take a pacifier or try to find your thumb, but mostly you just want to nurse. You like the swing most of the time and that's usually where you take naps during the day. We think part of the problem with sleeping is that you get a really stuffy nose that makes it hard for you to breathe.

Just like your brothers, you have gas that is out of this world! It could shoot you across a room, I think. I took you to a 4 Seasons meeting and sure enough, you had some major gas and everyone was laughing. You also just had a major blow out at 4 Seasons! It was so bad you got it on your clothes, blanket, and burp rag. There have been 2 other times that you've managed to poop out your shorts and onto me.

You were exactly 5 1/2 weeks when you smiled for the first time. Daddy took the other boys to the gym, so it was just you & me at home. I was changing your diaper and talking to you and you gave me the biggest smile ever :) You still love to smile when you're laying on your changing table either getting dressed or getting your diaper changed. It's so cute! I would guess you weigh close to 13 lbs. by now, but we'll find out for sure on Monday. My prediction is 12 lbs. 13 oz. so we'll see!

You are such a sweet baby and you usually don't cry. However, you have a gift for crying when I'm about to sit down and eat. I don't know how you do it! You are usually pretty easy to please, though. You either want to eat or be held. We love you so much! Our lives have been blessed and although things have definitely been more difficult, you are so worth it!
