February Snow Days

Gavin's Haircut

What a difference a haircut can make. This is Gavin prior to his haircut. As you may be able to see, his hair is sticking straight up. Just look at how long it really was. The static is from a plastic basket that he was wearing as head gear, which really helped with it the wild hair sytle.

And this is after a haircut. Doesn't he look older now. Yeah, we have decided to not ever cut his hair again. He's getting too old. These pictures were taken on Feruary 18, 2007 Thanks to his Grandma Donna, she cut Gavin's hair.

Went Sleding

On Saturday Feb 17,2007 we took Gavin sleding to Ewing park just off of Jersey Ave. in Normal. It had just snowed another 3 inches on top of the 13 inches from the prior week, so it was still powder and too soft for the most part. We did find an area where the snow had been packed down pretty good. Gavin and Brian went down first, on the decent the sled tried to throw them off, but just couldn't quiet get it. Brian was able to hold on by using his feet to steer. When he did so, the snow flew straight up into our faces. We finally made it to the bottom of the hill and Gavin said, again. Brian hiked back up the hill, carrying Gavin in his arms. Thank the lord we only went down the hill three times before Gavin was tired and Cold. (Tired, needing a nap). It was too bad that we didn't take any pictures, oh well, maybe we'll get another chance.

Dog Sitting

Also during this weekend we had the opportunity to watch Murphy(far right), Brian's parents Golden-doodle. We believe that Riley and Rubin really have a good time when Murphy stay's over, and glad to see her go home. I think their wore out. Murphy is still a ball of fire.
